DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Bridgeport News: Carjacking

POLICE UPDATE: As we were first to report early Sunday morning there was a carjacking at 192 Bunnell Street.  Police say 4-5 males entered the backyard waiving guns and demanding money.  Victims of the home were searched.  Money and cellphones were taken along with a Honda Civic.  Later, Milford Police located the vehicle at the Wendy's/Motel 6 area on Schoolhouse Road.  Milford Police quickly located two of the suspects and learned the other two were in a room at Motel 6.  A short time later with the aid of K-9 the other suspects along with three firearms, narcotics, a wallet, car keys and cell phones belonging to the suspects.   Police arrested David Elliston, Ronaldo Beckett, Akeem Mitchell, Overton Rowe…

Bridgeport News: Good Moms Tough 15 Year Olds!

#Bridgeport CT-- We always hear the end result of some bad choices but tonight Bridgeport Police were called to two homes to deal with a domestic fight between mom and a fifteen-year-old.  The first fifteen-year-old one took place when the son wanted to leave the house after dark with his paintball gun.  The second just happened when a fifteen-year-old wanted to spend the night at his fifteen-year-old girlfriend's home.   This news report is made possible by:

Norwalk News: Person Shot

UPDATE from Norwalk Police: On November 4, 2017, at 2:04am, officers patrolling Wall Street were flagged down by an employee of Market Bistro and Bar at 64 Wall Street. The employee stated a female had been shot inside the bar. Officers entered the location and located a twenty eight-year-old female suffering from a single gunshot wound to the torso. According to witnesses, the suspect fled the scene after the assault. Responding officers searched the area for the suspect however, he was not located. Norwalk Hospital Emergency Medical Service transported the female victim to the Norwalk Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
