Fairfield News: Water Main Break

11:40am--# Bridgeport CT-- A water main break in the 2100 block of Burr Street (south of the Audobon Society).  At 12:12pm police reported the water was turned off and that the roadway has buckled and part of the road is washed away.  The roadway is being closed off and there can be expected construction delays.  Also, low water pressure and brown water can be expected in the area.

Norwalk News: 2 Pedestrians & Car Hit – Arrest Made

#Norwalk CT--On November 22, 2017 at 1:07 am, the Patrol Division responded to a motor vehicle crash on West Avenue near Orchard Street. Arriving officers found that a vehicle had struck two pedestrians and a parked car. Both victims suffered serious injuries and were transported to the hospital by Norwalk Hospital EMS. The driver, Walter Veliz, was found at the scene uninjured. Veliz, who does not possess a driver’s license, failed on scene field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. Veliz was transported to police headquarters, where he was found to have a blood alcohol level of .1852. Norwalk News: Kidnap Fraud Suspect

#Norwalk CT-- On 10/14/17, the pictured suspect picked up a fraudulent wire transfer at Stop n Shop located on Connecticut Ave in Norwalk.  The victim, who resides out of state, received numerous phone calls from a male pretending to be a law enforcement officer who demanded the victim wire money because his grandson was in jail.  The complainant wired $2450 to Stop n Shop in Norwalk.  Anyone that can identify the suspect or has any information is asked to contact the Detective Bureau at 203-854-3011.
