His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Norwalk News: Child Abuse Arrest

#Norwalk Connecticut--On July 21, 2016, the Norwalk Department of Police Service arrested Pedro Salinas at theNorwalk Courthouse where he was appearing on another criminal matter. The Special Victims Unit began an investigation on May 26, 2016 after receiving a report of child abuse from the Department of Children and Families. The investigation revealed that a two-year-old female had been brought to the Norwalk Hospital after suffering what was believed to be medical  condition. The child was later transferred to Yale New Haven Hospital due to the seriousness of the child’s condition. SVU Detectives learned that the child had been living with family at Salinas’s residence and that Salinas had assaulted the child causing serious injuries.   #Bridgeport, CT – The Bridgeport Bluefish today announced that they would like to honor local police by giving all officers two complimentary tickets to the game on Monday, July 25. Grease Is The Word In Westport

On 07/18/16 at approximately 10:00am, Westport Officers were dispatched to the rear of Five Guys Restaurant on a report of theft of cooking oil. Responding units were given a description of the suspect vehicle as a white van with New York license plates. Upon the Officers arrival, they found suspects Alondra Aracil and Jonathan Garces actively siphoning cooking oil from the tank. Aracil and Garces were taken into custody. Fairfield News: Water Rescue As Boat Runs Aground

5:22pm--#Fairfield Connecticut--Firefighters were called for a water rescue first at reef near the South Benson Boat Marina at 471 Turney Road.  Firefighters thoroughly checked the area and found no boats on the reef.  A short time later firefighters received a call from Sea Tow, a private boat rescue company was out with the boat at "Sunken Island" at the end of Fairfield Beach Road.   A nearby homeowner told me this was only the second large boat he has know to get caught up and that they had to be from out of the area, it turns out the were from New York.   Police and fire boats were not able to get too close to the boat otherwise they would…
