Fairfield Police statement: On Saturday, 02/04/17 at 4:20pm, the Fairfield Police Department responded to a pedestrian that was struck by a motor vehicle within the lot of Tomlinson Middle School, located at 200 Unquowa Road.  The  pedestrian was a juvenile who is a resident of Fairfield.  The vehicle involved, a 2006 Toyota Camry, was being operated by Gary Potmesil, a 76 year old male who resides in Norwalk. Potmesil was operating the Camry eastbound within the Tomlinson Middle School parking lot and collided with the juvenile with his front left fender.  The juvenile’s mother was on scene and called 911 immediately following the collision. The juvenile was transported to Bridgeport Hospital by AMR ambulance as a result of the injuries sustained. At this time the juvenile is in stable condition undergoing further testing. The collision is under investigation by the Fairfield Police Crash Reconstruction Unit.

2:21pm–#Fairfield Connecticut– Report of a  four year old child being hit by a car in the Tomlinson Middle School parking lot.  Radio reports say the child conscious and alert and being transported to the hospital.
