His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Fairfield News: Police Nab Lottery Thieves

5:17pm--#Fairfield Connecticut-- Police were on Black Rock Turnpike when two men entered the Shell Station at 2424 Black Rock Turnpike allegedly stealing lotto tickets from the business  and gave chase.  They caught up with them on the Merritt Parkway and took two in custody.  Police checking with Darien Police to see if it is connected with the lottery tickets stolen from the Exxon Gas Station on the Boston Post Road.  There have been additional robberies in Trumbull, Ridgefield and Norwalk.   5:17pm--#Fairfield Connecticut - Policía estaba en Black Rock Turnpike cuando dos hombres entradon a la estacíon Shell en 2424 Black Rock Turnpike a robar boletos de loteria. 12:39am--‪#‎Bridgeport‬ Connecticut-- Police attempted to pull over a U-Haul truck around Lindley Street and the van refused to stop. The van made its way up to the upper East Side colliding with a car at East Main and Berkshire Avenue and then into a parked car. The driver of the car and the van were injured and trasnported by EMS to the hospital. Police recovered firearm along with other evidence they found in the van. Bridgeport Officers Rescued 4 Puppies In Hot Car

2:00pmish--How about some likes for these officer who rescued 4 puppies from a hot car.  Parking Officer  Galo Erazo  (right) was working Main Street when he spotted four puppies inside a hot car in front of 1023 Main Street and called it in.  Sergeant Christopher Robinson (left) arrived and was able to squeeze his hand inside the car and unlock the door.  3 puppies were inside one crate and another in carrier too small for his size.  The officers were able to get bowls of water from nearby businesses  and re hydrate the pups.  Animal Control Officer Wallace arrived and took them to the veterinarian where they were found to be okay.   The driver of the car was trying…

As Local As Layoffs Get–600 As Cablevision To Close Shelton & Stratford Call Centers

Altice, the French company that bought out Cablevision and Optimum Services has announced the closing of it's call center and customer service centers in Shelton and Stratford, about 600 people are expected to be let go. In a statement Altice said:  "“Over the last few years, there have been investments and enhancements to our Optimum products and services, making them more reliable and providing more customer service touch points than ever before,” Anselmo stated in an email to Hearst Connecticut. “As a result, we have seen a significant improvement in customer call volume and patterns.”   The layoffs are not expected to affect the field service repair workers nor News 12 in Norwalk but it is rumored Tom Appleby is…
