DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

State to Help Fund Assessment and Remediation Efforts of Blighted Properties

Fairfield Tribute

#Fairfield CT--A tribute to Frank Godwin has been set up on the bench that Frank had frequented over the years at the corner of Reef and Old Post Road.  Multiple Facebook posts of friends said they would often buy him something to eat at 7-11, Bagel Emporium  or McDonald's.  The bench was lined with flowers and 7-11 coffee cups.  Frank, aged 87 was killed when he was hit by a car at the intersection of Myrtle and Prospect Street in Bridgeport on February 6. 12:22pm--#cttraffic--#Milford Ct--#Stratford CT--A crash involving a tractor trailer with a large fluid pill.  Radio reports say it is hydraulic fluid and the saddle tank holding the  truck's diesel fuel ruptured.  Truck is in the left lane, expect delays during the cleanup.
