DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

New Playground at Seaside Park

Trumbull News: Stand Off Ends Peacefully

10:14pm--#Trumbull CT--Trumbull Police along with other local police breach the home of 272 Shelton Road.  A man had allegedly shot at his neighbor across the street with a shotgun.  Police located buckshot in the man's tree.  Children from St. Catherine's Church were on church property for movie night and were ushered off the property by police, it was uncertain if the man was in his house or on foot in the area. Local roads were blocked off by Trumbull, Shelton and Stratford and a perimeter was set up.  Police had made reverse 911 calls to residents in the area to stay indoors.
