DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

State Troopers Seek Public’s Help

We told you about this when the incident occurred.  (Connecticut State Police Press Release) On May 10, 2015 at approximately 1:28 a.m., Troop G-Bridgeport received a report of 2015 Toyota Corolla being shot at while traveling Route 25 Northbound, in the area of exit 2, in Bridgeport. The operator of the vehicle did not see any flashes from the firearm, but believed the gunshots came from a white four door sedan, unknown make and model. Upon arrival, Troopers initiated an investigation in which they were able to confirm that the 2015 Toyota Corolla had been struck by multiple projectiles. On May 10, 2015 at approximately 1:34 a.m., Bridgeport Police Department reported gun shots in the area of Ellsworth Street and Fairfield Avenue. Stratford News: Commercial Structure Fire

11:59pm--UPDATE--Firefighters report bulk of the fire knocked down. Sounds like it was rubber burning in the laundry room according to radio reports. 11:27pm--#Stratford CT--Firefighters on scene of a commercial structure fire at Ener G Tech at 400 Surf Avenue.  A passerby called in heavy smoke coming from the the roof but no flames.  Firefighters on scene quickly filled out the assignment as a full working fire.   This report sponsored by:

Shots Fired Outside UNH

UPDATE: Shots were fired at 109 Boston Post Road on the  3rd floor - Police are stating multiple shots fired and they have an individual with facial injuries possibly gunshot wound.  Police are still loking for the gold Dodge Intreped  reported to be occupied by 3 Hispanic males connected with this incident   12:03am--#West Haven CT--Police reporting on the radio of shots fired outside of the University Of New Haven near the Boston Post Road.  The suspects fled in a gold Dodge Intrepid.  No word of anyone or anything being hit.   This report sponsored by:
