DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Shots Fired Outside UNH

UPDATE: Shots were fired at 109 Boston Post Road on the  3rd floor - Police are stating multiple shots fired and they have an individual with facial injuries possibly gunshot wound.  Police are still loking for the gold Dodge Intreped  reported to be occupied by 3 Hispanic males connected with this incident   12:03am--#West Haven CT--Police reporting on the radio of shots fired outside of the University Of New Haven near the Boston Post Road.  The suspects fled in a gold Dodge Intrepid.  No word of anyone or anything being hit.   This report sponsored by:

Bridgeport News: Man Shot

,Bridgeport Police Press Release: Detectives are continuing to investigate a shooting that took place shortly after 9:00PM last night at 26 Ohio Avenue. The victim, 22-year-old Juvontee Tinsley of Bridgeport, was in serious condition when he arrived at Bridgeport Hospital last night. He has since been pronounced dead. According to witnesses, Mr. Tinsley walked over to speak with someone in a car parked at the Ohio Avenue address. One of the occupants of the car shot Mr. Tinsley in the chest. Following the shooting, the car fled east on Ohio Ave and drove through a yard at the dead end. The vehicle was last seen traveling south on East Main Street. “Burning” Schools

12:11am--#Bridgeport CT-- #Fairfield CT--Bridgeport Firefighters called to John Winthrop Middle School on Eckert Street for a fire, then the caller said it was in the back of the school.  Firefighters on scene can't find anything.  At the same time Fairfield Firefighters were called to Fairfield University for a burning electrical outlet  outside Layola Gate.  Firefighters confirm they found a burning outlet in a mulch pile.   This report sponsored by:
