His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Bridgeport Police Department Recovers Illegally Owned Firearm

#Bridgeport, Conn. (September 23, 2015) – Yesterday afternoon the Bridgeport Police Department arrested a Bridgeport man for illegal possession of a firearm after a routine traffic stop.   On September 22, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. police officers observed a grey Subaru station wagon on Fairfield Ave. with a broken brake light. Police officers ran the license plate and found that the plate was registered to a Honda Civic, not the Subaru. Police officers pulled the Subaru over on Laurel Ave. near the intersection with Norman St.   The driver, Josue Chavarria (08/26/90), was unable to provide valid registration or insurance papers for the vehicle.  Police officers had Chavarria step out of the vehicle and detained him in the back of the police…

(September 22, 2015) – The Bridgeport Police Department arrested a wanted suspect for drug dealing.  On September 19 at around 4:30 p.m., a Bridgeport police officer was traveling south on Pequonnock St. in a marked Bridgeport Police squad car and recognized a wanted suspect riding a bicycle in the same direction.  The police officer recognized the suspect, Jose Ortiz (07/08/91), from a recent arrest and was aware Ortiz currently had multiple warrants out for his arrest.  While following Ortiz, the police officer was spotted and accelerated away from the police vehicle.   Ortiz turned into the parking lot of “Save A…

Here is the police alert we told about when it was happening live yesterday: #Stratford CT---On 09-22-2015 Kevin Savage age 22 and Anfernee Dancy age 19 , both from Waterbury were arrested after an incident on Main Street in Stratford. The pair failed to stop for construction on South Main Street near the airport. When stopped by the officer working the construction detail the driver, Savage handed the officer paperwork for the car and a license that did not belong to him. When questioned about his identity Savage fled from the scene. Officers attempted to catch up to the car operated by Savage and found that he had crashed into a tree on Main Street near Minor Cross. Cablevision’s New Owner Looking To Make Changes

Just after announcing his plans to acquire Cablevison by French owned Altice,  CEO Patrick Drahi announced at a Goldman Sachs investor conference he's looking to make changes and cuts to the company.  "I like to pay as little as I can,"  he said to the investors and "It's not about how many customers you have, it's about how much money you make."   He wants  to bring European cost structures to the U.S. cable industry.  The traditional cable bundle is under attack, as streaming services from Netflix, Youtube, Hulu and many others are digging in to cable's bottom line.   "There's at least $300 million in corporate overhead that can immediately be deleted," one conference attendee said.  Drahi said a no-frills management philosophy that…
