DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

12:01am--#Bridgeport CT–The nightly handicap bathroom motion sensor burglary alarm is going off at the Shiloh Baptist Church at 477 Broad Street. This has been a chronic alarm with no key holder for over two weeks now. I I’m going to post this each time every night until they get this fixed so police can focus on more important things. Police are on the way second time tonight, they were just there at 9:41pm.

Bridgeport’s East Side Raids

State, Local Narcotics Investigators Execute Two Search and Seizure Warrants (Bridgeport, CT - Oct. 16, 2013) -- The Statewide Narcotics Task Force, with assistance from the Bridgeport Police Department SWAT and Tactical Narcotics Team (TNT), as well as personnel from Immigration's & Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs & Border Patrol (CBP), executed a search warrant at 453 Hallett St. in Bridgeport. CBP provided aerial support for the operation. The warrant was the result of controlled buys of Heroin and ‘crack’ cocaine on various occasions from the residence. There were several individuals in and around the premises that were detained, to include two that attempted to flee the scene.
