FAIRFIELD, CT, September 7, 2011: The Fairfield Emergency Management Team is issuing the following information to residents who believe they may be eligible for Individual Assistance from FEMA in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene: those with damage or losses as a result of the tropical storm are encouraged to register with FEMA by calling 800-621-3362, going online to www.DisasterAssistance.gov, or using their PDA to go to m.fema.gov. Those with speech or hearing disabilities should use the TTY number at 800-462-7585. “Registering with FEMA is the first step in determining if you qualify for federal disaster assistance,” according to Governor Malloy in a release sent out earlier today; residents who have already provided damage information to Town, State or FEMA representatives…

The Fairfield Little League returned home to a heroes welcome at Sherman Green. Parade is scheduled for 2pm on Saturday. A parade and awards for the record setting number of teams winning from Fairfield Little League. Fairfield Little League goes down bit against Pearland, Texas team, 14-1, Sunday night in Williamsport. The fans at The Shack restaurant on Post Road in Fairfield stayed to the end to root them on.

NORWALK-- Two local men were killed in a single car crash on the Norwalk stretch of the Merritt Parkway early Saturday morning, police and fire officials said. Judge Reinstates Foster on Democratic Primary for Bridgeport Mayor

The primary has been moved from September 13th to September 27th. No word at this time on the fate of the candidates for education. Foster's attorney said they are still reading through the thirty four page ruling.
