His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

EXPANDED USE OF TELEHEALTH SERVICES TO CONTINUE

HARTFORD, CT – Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he has signed an executive order modifying certain state laws in order to allow expanded access to telehealth services to continue in Connecticut during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Telehealth services are those that enable healthcare providers to interact with patients, including those with Medicaid coverage, without needing to meet in person by using electronic methods, such as video conferencing and telephones, and thus supporting adequate social distancing measures. Ansonia News: Shots Fired

Ansonia Police UPDATE; On March 14, 2021, the Ansonia Police Department arrested Melvin Burroughs, age 33, of Ansonia for his involvement in a shooting on Sixth Street in Ansonia. Burroughs had been in a verbal dispute with two other males when Burroughs fired multiple shots at the males. No one was struck by the gunshots; however, a vehicle, shed and garbage cans were struck by the gunfire. Burroughs is a convicted felon and prohibited from owning or possessing firearms. Melvin Burroughs was charged with two counts of Criminal Attempt at Assault First Degree, two counts of Reckless Endangerment First Degree, Threatening First Degree, Unlawful Discharge, Criminal Use of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, and Criminal Mischief Third Degree.…

Bridgeport News: Cop Injured In Crash

Bridgeport Police UPDATE: At 11:33 pm Bridgeport Police was detailed to block the intersection of Island Brook Ave Ext. and Colonial Ave because of low hanging wires. The officer activated his emergency lights and blocked the intersection. They were hit (t-boned) by an operator traveling north on Island Brook Ave Ext.  The officer sustained neck and back injuries and was transported to St. V's. Hospital. The other operator claimed to have injuries and he was transported to Bridgeport Hospital.
