DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Bridgeport News: Woman Shot At

2020-04-25@4:00pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police received a shotspotter activation on North Avenue. Fairfield News: Car Show At The Rest Area

2020-04-25@1:40PM--#Fairfield CT-- #cttraffic-- State police were dispatched to the rest area in Fairfield on I-95 for a large gathering of cars.  Radio dispatch said it looks like they putting on a car show.  We also were informed earlier about a large gathering of dirt bikes and quads gathering a Bass Pro but there hasn't been any real disturbance at this time.  There was, however, a large gathering of cars on Kossuth Street but there were no updates on this.

Bridgeport News: Two Stabbings In Town

UPDATE: There were actually two stabbings, this one at 115 Yale Avenue with no real details. A SECOND stabbing happened at Greene Homes Building 5 and that is where the girlfriend stabbed her boyfriend on the lip and in the cheek just below the eye. Both calls happened at the same time frame.   2020-04-24@11:00pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police and EMS were called to the apartment building at 115 Yales Street where a man was allegedly stabbed in the upper cheek by his girlfriend.  Detectives are investigating.
