#Westport, CT: August 14, 2019 - Members of the Kings Highway Elementary School presented the town of Westport with an AED (automated external defibrillator) to be located in the newly constructed restrooms at Compo Beach South. The AED was donated by Wallingford-based organization, In a Heartbeat, which received more than $3,000 in donations from Kings Highway School’s annual Variety Show recently held in June. In a Heartbeat’s mission is to prevent death from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and sudden cardiac arrest by raising awareness, enabling research, and donating automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to places that need them. Norwalk, CT- Norwalk Police Chief Thomas Kulhawik and Federal Bureau of Investigation Special Agent-In-Charge Brian C. Turner, announce the arrest of Brandon Wagshol, 22 of Norwalk. Wagshol was arrested on August 15, 2019 and charged with 4 counts of Illegal Possession of Large Capacity Magazines. The Federal Bureau of Investigation National Threat Operations Center (NTOC) received a tip that Wagshol was attempting to purchase large capacity rifle magazines from out of state. The FBI and the Norwalk Police Department began a joint investigation based upon this information. During the investigation it was revealed that Wagshol was buying rifle parts online in an attempt to build his own rifle. Wagshol had a Facebook post that showed his interest in committing…

Now that schools are about to open in Trumbull I would like to remind drivers of some tips for safety since more cars and now buses will be on the roads. Not only do we expect additional traffic, we will also see an increase in pedestrians on the roads, as students wait for buses and walk to and from school. Norwalk, CT- Norwalk Detectives arrested Jose “Calasanz” Martinez, 66 of Norwalk at police headquarters today. Martinez turned himself in on active warrant that charges him with Sexual Assault 4. Norwalk Detectives received complaint from the female victim on July 28, 2019. The victim stated that she was assaulted July 27, 2019, while exercising at the Calasanz Martial Arts and Fitness Studio at 507 Westport Avenue. The victim stated that while doing core strengthening at his studio, Martinez sexually assaulted her and attempted to have intercourse with her. Based upon the investigation an arrest warrant was issued for Jose Martinez.
