2023-10-27@5:53pm--#Bridgeport CT-- The driver of this camper probably thought he had the proper clearance to clear the train overpass at Lafayette Street and Railroad Avenue. It was determined that the plastic air vent was what was hung up under the trestle. Firefighters not only removed the vent stored it in the camper and helped the driver back out!

Hit-and-Run Tragedy Claims Life of 24-Year-Old Cyclist
On the morning of October 24, 2023, at around 6:07 AM, the Bridgeport Emergency Operation Center received a distress call. The report stated that a motorized bike operator had been struck near the junction of Waterview Avenue and Crescent Avenue. Unfortunately, the vehicle responsible for the collision fled the scene without offering any assistance to the injured victim. The 24-year-old victim was swiftly transported to Bridgeport Hospital with critical injuries. Regrettably, he later succumbed to his injuries. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of the victim, 24-year-old Jeffrey Omar Enamorado, on behalf of the Bridgeport Police Department. A number of our viewers asked about a crime scene at Crescent Avenue this morning. I reached out and the Bridgeport Police said in a statement: On October 24, 2023, at approximately 6:07am, the Bridgeport Emergency Operation Center received a call reporting that an operator on a motorized bike was struck near the intersection at Waterview Avenue and Crescent Avenue. The striking vehicle fled the scene and did not remain on scene nor did to render any appropriate aid to the victim. The twenty-four-year-old victim identified as Jeffrey Omar Enamorado of Bridgeport, was transported to Bridgeport Hospital with life-threatening injuries but later succumbed to his injuries.
