Bridgeport House Fire

Firefighters were called to the scene of a home on Hallock Street in Bridgeport, for a house fire. They had to run a firehose line from Main Street, where unconfirmed radio reports say that cars ran over the hose line. Firefighters handled the situation and knocked down the fire. The extent of the injuries is unknown at the time, and the State Fire Marshal was called to the scene.

ShotSpotter Alert Leads to Two Arrests After Vehicle Flees Orchard Street

At approximately 3:50 p.m., Bridgeport Police Department responded to the 120 block of Orchard Street following a ShotSpotter activation. No injuries were reported. Police say the vehicle involved fled Orchard Street and was tracked to the downtown Bridgeport area, near Lafayette Square and Fairfield Avenue. Two individuals have since been apprehended. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information has been released at this time.
