2022-05-18@10:04pm--#Bridgeport CT--A woman was assaulted and robbed in the 200 block of Gregory Street marking the city's first robbery. Scott Appleby, Director of Emergency Communications (the city still has NO police public affairs' officer) said when I asked for calls of significance said they would appear the police's Twitter Account. There have been no robberies posted there so this must be the first one of the year. This is probably why Ganimville has been named the second best place to raise a family. Child Rescued From Drowning

Police UPDATE: At 1607hrs the Bridgeport ECC received a 911 call reporting a 9 month old child had gone under the water in a bath tub and was unresponsive in the 100th block of Parrott Ave. A party on-scene was administering CPR at the time of the call. BFD, AMR and BPD arrived on-scene. According to on-scene reports the child had a pulse, was breathing, and then began crying. The child was transported to the hospital via AMR. Bridgeport News: Structure Fire

2022-05-11@3:04am-- #Bridgeport CT-- The Bridgeport ECC received a call regarding a fire on Maplewood Avenue. BFD units responded to a structure fire and upon arrival found a commercial business with a residential apartments above. First units reported heavy fire on the second floor. Two burn victim was transported to the hospital, as well as one other with smoke inhalation. A second alarm was called due to the need for additional staffing, The fire extended into the third floor. Fairfield Fire Dept assisted with coverage in the city. The fire was declared under control at 3:45. The fire is currently under investigation with the Fire Marshal’s Office and no injuries occurred to any firefighters.
