2020-06-18@9:38pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police are investigating a crash on Water Street in front of the train station at the intersection of State Street. Witnesses told me the woman was being pursued and hit a parked car on State Street near Iranistan Avenue prior. The woman could not negotiate the left turn and crash. It took firefighters about twenty minutes to free her. Her injuries are not known at this time.

Here is the Bridgeport Police’s attempt to report the news today:
Today at 1438hrs a MVA occurred on Hillhouse Ave. Preliminary reports indicated a structure fire due to a vehicle striking a garage. Upon arrival BFD determined there was no fire but one party had to be removed from the vehicle. No further information on injuries at the scene but AMR was on-scene as well. The BPD is investigating the accident. The City of Bridgeport Building Department was also notified.

At approximately 6:15 this morning the Bridgeport Fire Department responded to a report of smoke coming from the church located at 719 Connecticut Avenue. First arriving crews found heavy smoke and a working fire. Searches for civilians inside were negative. Fire damage was confined to the first floor and basement, with significant smoke damage throughout.There were no injuries reported, and the fire is under investigation.

2020-06-13@11:00pm–An overnight protest in front of the Police Headquarters has the Congress at Lyon Terrace blocked off. No wonder why Mayor Ganim wants to keep you in the dark. He says Black Lives Matter, but his actions speak otherwise by shutting down the press radios so we can’t report on it. The protesters are supposed to remain over the weekend I was told. Nothing official from the protesters and especially not from the police or the mayor.
