https://youtu.be/b1h1-r7RRsE Bridgeport, CT – Police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred on the evening of June 25, 2025, leaving three individuals injured and leading to a high-speed police pursuit and crash on Route 8. At approximately 7:21 PM, a ShotSpotter activation alerted officers to 12 rounds fired near the 40–50 block of Sheridan Street. Responding officers located a crime scene, and shortly after, two male victims—ages 26 and 18—arrived at Bridgeport Hospital. Both underwent surgery and were previously listed in critical condition. The Crime Gun Intelligence Center (CGIC) processed the scene and interviewed witnesses. Detective Timothy Leonard is leading the investigation. Just after 12:45 AM, Bridgeport firefighters responded to a heavy fire on the 100 block of Hillside Avenue. The blaze, involving a 2.5-story wood frame home, prompted a second alarm and was brought under control in under an hour. No injuries were reported. The Fire Marshal is investigating, and the Red Cross is assisting

A crash at Fairfield Avenue and Clarkson Street in Bridgeport on Tuesday ended with one driver in the hospital and another in handcuffs. Police say one vehicle was empty when they arrived. The other had a driver trapped inside, who was extricated and taken to St. Vincent’s with unknown injuries. The unoccupied vehicle’s driver, 47-year-old Mark Coover of Bridgeport, asked to move his car—but instead tried to flee. Officers stopped him, and after a brief foot chase, he was arrested. Police UPDATE: At approximately 9:15 pm last night, Bridgeport PD responded to the intersection of Boston and Kent Avenue to report of an MVA vs. pedestrian. Upon arrival, the pedestrian was in a prone position in the intersection, conscious, and being assisted by AMR and the Bridgeport Fire Department. The pedestrian was transported to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment of the following injuries: a large laceration to the right thigh, injury to the left toe, and multiple abrasions on the left arm. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was cooperative. A pedestrian was hit by a car Monday night at the intersection of Kent and Boston Avenue in Bridgeport.
