2019-09-22@10:23pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police are investigating an attempted abduction of a 5 year old child at Wood and Elmwood Avenue. Radio reports say a known transgender male assaulted the victim and tried to take his child. The suspect fled in a Nissan Rouge.
2019-09-22@5:33pm–#Bridgeport CT–A jet ski that overturned with two children, all had life jackets on were rescued by the police marine unit at Seaside Park. A kayaker who attempted to rescue the children also overturned. Fortunately the also had life jackets on. The police marine unit arrived on scene and was able to rescue them all. The owner of the jet-ski righted the vessel and went on his way after bringing in the kayak according to Assistant Fire Chief Richard Donofrio. The video indicated 3 children but the chief called me with the correct totals of 2 kids, 2 adults being rescued.

2019-09-22 @ 2:11am–#Bridgeport CT– A Calhoun Avenue mother called police that her four year old child climbed out a window and was found in a parking lot by a neighbor who refuses to turn the child over to her.

2019-09-21 @ 11:54pm–#Bridgeport CT– A person was shot in front of 444 Trumbull Gardens, their condition is not known at this time. They were driven to the hospital in a private vehicle. Several cars were also struck and a bullet entered an apartment but no one was injured.
UPDATE: The pursuit exited in Black Rock down towards Captain’s Cove coming to an end at St. Mary’s by the Sea. There was a short teen-hunt, police quickly apprehended four boys and one girl after a brief search. I over-heard the owner of the car saying it was the second time it was stolen.
