2019-08-30 @ 9:11pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Main at Westfield Avenue was closed for a about a half hour for a pedestrian who was hit. No word on the his injuries. The driver did stop and is cooperating with police.

UPDATE: After THREE attempts to get an "official" word on this incident, Terron Jones, Bridgeport Police Spokesperson replied "On 8/30/2019 at approximately 1948hrs, a 911 caller stated that there was a suspicious person (white male wearing all black, a mask, holding a rifle) near the 100 block of Brewster St. The BPD were on scene at 1953hrs where they searched the immediate and surrounding areas. The Bridgeport Police did not find any authentication of the callers report of the suspicious person." 2019-08-30 @ 8:15pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police were called to Port Five at 69 Brewster Street for a suspect going behind Port Five wearing all black "an amour mask" carrying an automatic weapon. 2019-08-30--5:28pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A man suffered from a long fall from the Stratford Avenue Bridge when he attempted to throw his bicycle down the embankment (don't ask) he kept going down and was injured. He was alert and talking with first responders.

2019-08-28-- Today, Mayor Joe Ganim was joined by Superintendent Testani and representatives of the Educational Task Force to launch Building Bridgeport’s Future, a “Bridgeport School Capital Improvement Plan. Items discussed were a plan to address the the physical and technological needs for each school in the city. Also discussed were the restoration of bus routes for the upcoming year and a new Bassick High School complete with athletic fields on the facility.
