2019-08-31 @ 7:54pm–#Bridgeport CT– There were three overdoses in two part of town that kept first responders busy.  The first were two unresponsive males in the 300 block of Wilmont Avenue.  They initially did not respond to Narcan and required advance life saving support.  Eventually both were revived.

 

Another overdose took place when a woman called on Hanover Street that her boyfriend overdosed, she had administered Narcan but he did not respond to it.  First responders did get him to respond.

 

Overdoses happen everyday but I stopped reporting them because of the frequency of them.  It’s like reporting shots fired calls.

2019-08-31@6:49pm–#Bridgeport CT– A person attempted to buy a phone from someone on Offer Up.  They met up in the 500 block of Englewood Avenue and the person took the money and ran.

2019-08-30 @ 9:11pm–#Bridgeport CT– Main at Westfield Avenue was closed for a about a half hour for a pedestrian who was hit.  No word on the his injuries.  The driver did stop and is cooperating with police.

 

UPDATE: After THREE attempts to get an “official” word on this incident, Terron Jones, Bridgeport Police Spokesperson replied “On 8/30/2019 at approximately 1948hrs, a 911 caller stated that there was a suspicious person (white male wearing all black, a mask, holding a rifle) near the 100 block of Brewster St.  The BPD were on scene at 1953hrs where they searched the immediate and surrounding areas. The Bridgeport Police did not find any authentication of the callers report of the suspicious person.”

 

2019-08-30 @ 8:15pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police were called to Port Five at 69 Brewster Street for a suspect going behind Port Five wearing all black “an amour mask” carrying an automatic weapon.  Police found no one like that but found there was a political event taking place there.  When I called Lennie Grimaldi who is the political authority with his website OnlyInBridgeport.com he said there was a fund raiser for Marilyn Moore there tonight.  The event was not disrupted and more than likely no one there knew about the incident.

 

2019-08-30–5:28pm–#Bridgeport CT– A man suffered from a long fall from the Stratford Avenue Bridge when he attempted to throw his bicycle down the embankment (don’t ask) he kept going down and was injured.  He was alert and talking with first responders.

2019-08-29 @ 10:34pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police investigating a pedestrian being struck by a car on State Street just before Norman Street.  The striking vehicle fled the scene.

 

2019-08-29 @ 4:00pm–#Bridgeport CT– #cttraffic– Traffic delays have switched sides on I-95 at exit 29, this time southbound for what appears to be a break-down in the left shoulder. 

UPDATE: He was located in a garage under a car.  Firearm was recovered.  Looks like he will need our sponsor!

2019-08-29 @ 2:55pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police are looking for a man with a gun on Carroll and Union Avenue.  Police are looking for a 5’9″ black male, blue jeans and gray shirt with a gun in his waistband
