Bridgeport News: Truck Takes Down Power Line Trapping Driver
3:01pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A tractor trailer took down power lines on King Street (off Canfield Avenue) trapping him in his truck. UPDATE at 3:34 UI should be there in 1-2 hours!

3:19pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A fifteen year old was shot in the leg at the intersection of Lafayette and Atlantic Street. Police are looking for a red Hyundai Santa Fe with four teens in the car. The shooter is reported to be an 18 year old classmate from Bassick High School according to radio reports.

9:30pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- There were no reported injuries in a fire at 735 Hallett Street. Viewers told me the fire allegedly started in the barbershop on the first floor which was heavily damaged by the flames. Radio reports say 6 adults have been displaced because of the fire and the American Red Cross will be assisting them with housing tonight.
8:02pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut--A cellphone purchase on Hurd Avenue turned out to be a robbery. The victim was to purchase a cellphone but the seller robbed him of the $400 he was going to use to purchase the phone. There probably was no phone. This is becoming more frequent so beware. 4:22pm--#Fairfield Connecticut--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- Firefighters were busy with brush fires. Fairfield firefighters were at Greenfield Street across the street from Kohl's for a brush fire. They were also called to the swamp area at Lake Mohegan but were quickly recalled. Earlier Bridgeport Firefighters extinguished a mulch fire on Barnum Dyke Road.
5:05pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- #Trumbull Connecticut-- An employee at the TD Bank at 4865 Main Street Bridgeport flagged down a police officer outside the bank which turned out to be a Trumbull Police Officer on a traffic stop. Someone inside the bank was attempting to commit fraud. The officer gave chase and the suspect fled into a white BMW with New York plates north on Main Street. The officer lost sight of him. Bridgeport Police located him on Route 8/25 southbound in heavy traffic. They were able to bring the car safely to a stop at the split of I-95 north/southbound. They have four people in custody.
