Bridgeport News: Man Shot 3 Times

7:30pm-ish-- #Bridgeport Connecticut-- Police Chief A.J. 2016 Results show Overall Improvement of 11% for Mathematics, 8% Improvement in Oral Reading Comprehension Across all Grade Levels   #Bridgeport, CT – Mayor Joe Ganim and Bridgeport School Superintendent Fran Rabinowitz today released National AIMSweb test results for Bridgeport public school students that show significant improvement over scores from one year ago.  The AIMSweb online exam evaluates student capabilities in the areas of: early literacy and numeracy measures, oral reading comprehension, math computation, and math concepts and applications. Specifically, the number of Bridgeport students that scored above the 75th  percentile in math concepts and applications increased approximately 11% in comparison to 2015 numbers, and the number of Bridgeport students scoring at or above the 75th percentile in oral reading…

Stratford – Bridgeport News: Gunshot Victim

‪#‎Stratford‬ Connecticut- On 07-25- 2016 at approximately 10pm there was a shooting incident on Burritt Avenue in Stratford. During the incident which involved two SUV’s an unidentified black male exited one vehicle and fired approximately two rounds at the other vehicle. The victim vehicle struck a parked car prior to all involved parties fleeing the scene. Investigators interviewed a person of interest at Bridgeport Hospital but that person was uncooperative and would not speak with officers. At this time the incident is still under investigation.
