Bridgeport ECC received a call regarding suspicious objects in the 200th block of Testiny Ave. The Bridgeport Police Department, Fire Department, and CT State Police Department responded to the scene. The CT State Police Department safely removed the object, believed to be a grenade, with no threat to the public reported. Further information is not available at this time.

Pickup Truck Hits Porch
2024-04-29@10:05pm–#Bridgeport CT– A pickup truck hit a porch in the 1000 block of North Avenue (across from the jail). There were no reported injuries. The building inspector was called to the scene to evaluate the integrity of the building.
Bridgeport News: Stabbing with Arrest
At 3:47PM Bridgeport ECC received a call of an aggravated assault at State Street/ Iranistan Avenue. One individual was stabbed in the back while in the store. Officers responded and the responsible party was taken into custody. There is no further information at this time .
Bridgeport News: Weekend Stabbing Updates
Yesterday, at 11:17PM, There was a report of an assault with a weapon on the 1200 Block of Park Avenue. A female was stabbed with a knife injury to the thigh with non-life-threatening injuries.
Roughly an hour later, at at 12:02 am there was a report of a house fight/ assault with a weapon at the 700 Block of Iranistan Avenue. Reports about multiple people fighting outside and one person who was stabbed. St. Vincent’s reported 3 walk-ins with injuries: one head laceration, and two with cuts and bruises.
Connecticut’s Family Bridge Program Supports Newborn Families with In-Home Care

It involves collaboration between multiple state agencies and is expanding to include babies born at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. Bridgeport News: Weekend Fire Updates
Fire units responded to a detached garage fire at 3:00 am on Friday located at the 300 block of Wade Street. First unit on the scene reported a working fire that was declared under control in 30 minutes. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation with the Fire Marshal’s Office.
Units responded to a structure fire at 8:30am on Saturday in the 400 block of Merritt Street. First unit on scene confirmed a working fire with reports from the occupants that everyone was out of the house. The fire was declared under control in 45 minutes. No injuries were reported, and the fire is under investigation with the Fire Marshal’s Office. Red Cross was not needed, and occupants were able to find shelter with family members.

Fairfield News: Theft from Vehicles and Firearm Possession Arrest Made
In Fairfield, CT, on April 25, 2024, around 5:40 AM, the Fairfield Police Department responded to reports of car alarms in the Ann Street and Nichols Street area, where two males wearing face masks were spotted on bicycles. Earlier, at approximately 1:36 AM, similar reports emerged of two males attempting vehicle entries in the Penfield Road vicinity. Officers, upon expanding their search, sighted two individuals matching the description in the 500 block of Post Road, who then entered a McDonald’s. When approached by a uniformed officer, both fled, but one, identified as Nazareth Sinclair of Bridgeport, CT, was apprehended hiding under a vehicle in the Stop & Shop parking lot. Sinclair was found in possession of a firearm and items linking him to local larcenies, along with multiple arrest warrants, including those from Fairfield. Charged with various offenses, Sinclair was held on $95,000 bond and transported to Bridgeport Superior Court.

Bridgeport News: Man Shot
2024-04-27@12:45am–#Bridgeport CT– Police are investigating a shooting in the 300 block of Orchard Street (near Boston Avenue). The man was shot in the back.
Police said in a statement “At 12:45am hrs, ECC received multiple calls of a shooting incident at the 300 block of Orchard Street. Upon arrival, officers found one individual down. The victim was promptly transported to Bridgeport Hospital. No further updates on the victim’s condition at this time.”
