Bargain home/vehicle repair offers scam warning from Sergeant Jillian Cabana, Westport Police Detective Bureau Bargain home/vehicle repair offers- In these scams the suspect will approach an elderly resident at their home or in a parking lot and quote them a bargain amount for a service such as dent pulling, chimney sweeping, or driveway paving that may otherwise be expensive. After partially completing the service, the suspects may request additional money from the victim to complete the work. Many times these cons use shoddy materials and unskilled workers and may end up causing more damage than they were supposed to repair. Woman Charged with Risk of Injury

#Bridgeport, CT – Nov. 20, 2013 – A 22-year-old woman was arrested on child endangerment charges in connection with the physical abuse of her 5-year-old son by his father. Jarelis Lugo, of Sylvan Avenue, was charged with risk of injury to a minor. Her bond was set at $50,000. The arrest stemmed from an investigation in which the father, Daquon Gomillion, 22, was charged with multiple counts of first-degree assault and risk of injury to a minor in connection with physical assaults of their son. He remains jailed on $750,000 bond. Lugo was arrested by warrant today and charged with risk of injury. PINE CREEK DREDGING PROJECT BEING PEFORMED

  PINE CREEK DREDGING PROJECT BEING PEFORMED   First Selectman Mike Tetreau announced today that the Town has received a Certificate of Permission from the State of Connecticut to begin dredging Pine Creek. The project will be performed by Coastline Consultants, a contractor which is located in Madison Connecticut. The contractor should begin the project before the end of November with some preparation work possibly beginning the week of November 25, 2013. Actual dredging will occur about a week or two after initial preparation work begins. The dredging will occur for about four to six weeks depending on weather and favorable tides.   The dredging project is being performed to remove sand that accumulated in Pine Creek during Storm Sandy.…

Very early Sunday morning a shooting occurred in Bridgeport just before 3am, "man shot to the head" came across the EMS scanner.  Out the door I went to bring you and the rest of the media the news.  As I mentioned in an earlier article 3am is my bed time. Police Arrest Two Men for Larceny

#Bridgeport, CT – Nov. 12, 2013 – Two men face larceny and burglary charges after an incident on Gurdon Street. Officer Ian Schumaker responded to the area of 90 Gurdon just before 3 a.m. Sunday after a concerned citizen contacted police about a possible burglary in progress. Police were told a Subaru and a Honda Civic pulled up to the area and that three males appeared to be walking between the Civic and the side of 90 Gurdon Street, which is an abandoned house. When police arrived, Sgt.
