#Meriden Connecticut--The Connecticut Heroes Foundation held their 12th Annual Memorial Tribue at Hubbard Park in Meriden Saturday. Over the years the foundation has honored 54 fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. This years honorees were Corporal Frank Navarro, Captain Andrew Pedersen-Keel, SP4 Phillip Ruminski, Jr., CUCM/DV Robert Steehem adn LTC Ronald Storz. Many local, state and federal officials attended.

#NorwalkCT - On September 19, 2016, Special Services Investigators conducted a surveillance operation of Ryan Park. Investigators observed Hopeton "Hot Daddy" Marsh conduct a narcotics transaction. Moments later Marsh entered his vehicle and drove from the scene. Investigators initiated a traffic stop and found Marsh to be in possession of (16) bags of heroin. Investigators then located a loaded 9mm pistol with an altered serial number in Marsh's vehicle. Marsh, who is a six time convicted felon and on parole, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Weapon in a Motor Vehicle, Altering Serial Number, Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit, Possession of Narcotics With Intent to Sell, Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell Near a School, Criminal Trespass 3 and Operating with a Suspended License. On September 16, 2016, at approximately 12:18 AM, the Norwalk Police Department responded to the area of 22 Wall Street for a fight. Arriving officers were immediately notified that three men were in the Norwalk River. Officers observed two men climbing out of the river and observed a third in the distance, swimming towards the Wall Street overpass. Officers immediately went to area but lost sight of the man. A search ensued, with the Norwalk Police Marine Unit and the Norwalk Fire Department searching the river. The Connecticut State Police Dive Team were also requested with additional specialized equipment. At this time, the male has not been located. 12:41pm--#cttraffic-- State police locate a stolen vehicle from Madison near exit 41 southbound. A pursuit began around exit 39 and ends at the end ramp at exit 32. A brief pursuit into the wooded area nets two suspects. One is still at large. Exit 32 southbound is closed. K-9 has just arrived to continue with the search.

The suspect tried various sliding doors prior to leaving in a silver four door Honda Civic. The vehicle was missing a front left hubcap and appeared to have a dent in the driver’s side door. Malloy today announced that as the New Haven Line continues to experience all-time high record ridership numbers, the State of Connecticut will soon purchase an additional 60 M-8 rail cars to add to its recently launched, state-of-the-art fleet servicing the line, which remains the busiest commuter rail line in the nation.
