Governor Reaction To Gun Laws Being Upheld

Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman released the following statements in response to today’s ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals upholding Connecticut’s gun safety laws.   Governor Malloy said, “Connecticut has the smartest, toughest, most common sense gun safety laws in the nation – approved with broad, bipartisan support – and the court’s ruling validates it.  It’s all designed to keep our communities safe, while respecting the Second Amendment.  We’ve clearly done that.  The court today made the right decision, and time after time, court challenges aimed at whittling down our smart gun laws are proving unsuccessful.   “Connecticut has struck the right constitutional balance between access to firearms and public safety.  Today’s decision acknowledges our…

Bridgeport News: HarborGate……Torres Campaign HQ Break In

Video Report:  #Bridgeport CT-- Harborview Market which is also the headquarters for Republican mayoral candidate Enrique Torres was broken into overnight.  Torres is trying to downplay the incident saying that there were a number of break in's in the area last night .  Torres did agree that there seems to be some correlation of crime at his market, from bricks being thrown at the windows, or his campaign bus burned to the ground,  brake lines cut on his new trucks and lug nuts loosened on his wife car.  "They always seem to coincide with an election" said Torres,  "I hope it's just a coincidence but you never know". <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tJYscflcX48" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

The Connecticut State Police K9 Nero receives body armor Connecticut State Police K9 Nero has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The vest was sponsored by Macy's and is embroidered with the sentiment “This gift of protection provided by Macy's”. K9 Nero, and his partner Trooper First Class Michael Beauton, patrol Troop G in Bridgeport. Three year old Nero is trained as a patrol dog, and cross-trained in narcotics detection.   Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501c(3) charity located in East Taunton, MA. whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests, and other assistance, to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States.
