4:55pm--#Milford CT--Firefighters dispatched to I-95 exit 39B /40 for a mulch fire. There is a lot of smoke in the area, it does not appear to be causing any traffic delays. 11:50pm--#Norwalk CT--Tonight's car fire is being hosted by Norwalk at 2 Ohio Avenue. The car is close to a house which has been evacuated. A seventh and eighth grade history teacher Eric Johnson at Park City Magnet School in Bridgeport challenged his school to raise money for the St. Baldrick's Research Center. The goal was to raise $1,000 but the school far exceeded that goal raising $2,5000. The third graders raised the most money and each student took turns shaving his head and beard. The Mortgage Crisis Job Training Program (MCJTP), a WorkPlace opportunity, is conducting a free Resource Clinic for Connecticut residents who are struggling to pay their mortgages or are facing foreclosure. Connecticut has the eighth highest rate of foreclosure filings in the nation, according to the latest monthly report from California-based RealtyTrac. This timely event will introduce participants to the numerous programs available to them.
