2023-12-08@11:18pm–#Trumbull CT– Another crash on Route 8 southbound between exits 7 and 8 with multiple injuries. There was a fatal crash in the same area the other night. No fatalities to report on this one but over 4 patients reported.

State Police Update:

On Wednesday night in Trumbull, a Norwalk man named Daniel Demichael, 34, lost his life in a collision between his Jeep and a merging Toyota Supra on Route 8, as reported by state police.

A child in the back seat of the Jeep suffered minor injuries in the incident. The crash happened around 8:25 p.m. on Wednesday in the southbound lanes of Route 8 near Exit 8.

According to the investigation, Demichael was driving his 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in the right lane of Route 8. At the same time, a driver from Bridgeport in a 2021 Toyota Supra was merging onto Route 8 from the southbound side of the Merritt Parkway’s Exit 52 entrance ramp.

The collision occurred as the Supra merged into the right lane, impacting Demichael’s Jeep. This caused Demichael to lose control, crossing the left lane and colliding with the center median of the highway.

The Jeep then collided with a metal beam guardrail, continued through the barrier, and Demichael was ejected from the vehicle, according to state police.

2023-12-05@11:30am–#Trumbull CT–#cttraffic–Another rollover on Route 8/25 southbound near exit 5.

Trumbull Police are now on the scene of a two-car motor vehicle crash on White Plains Road (Route 127) in Trumbull. The crash involves serious injuries and the roadway in this area will be closed for several hours. White Plains Road will be closed between Reservoir Avenue and Brock Street until further notice.

The Trumbull Police received several 911 calls, on Sunday, October 10, at approximately 3:30 PM, reporting a two-car motor vehicle accident on White Plains Road (Route 127) near the entrance ramp to Route 25 Southbound. A convertible and a sedan collided causing heavy damage to both vehicles with the convertible coming to rest on its side. The only occupant of the sedan and one passenger of the convertible were transported to area hospitals, however the other occupant of the convertible sustained fatal injuries. First responding Trumbull police officers rendered medical aid to the victims and secured the scene. Trumbull EMS and Nelson Ambulance also arrived on the scene to treat and eventually transport the two (2) victims to area hospitals. Trumbull Center Fire Department also arrived on the scene to assist and secure the scene. The Trumbull and Fairfield Police Department’s Traffic Divisions are currently investigating this incident. The cause of the accident and cause of death have not been determined at this time. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.

2023-10-10@12:14am–#Trumbull CT– The Shell Gas Station on White Plains Road was robbed by two black males wearing black gloves who displayed a firearm. There was no description given on what they were driving.
