4:50pm--#Bridgeport CT-- 2 incidents at the same time, a police officer is reporting about 20 kids are throwing rocks at his car at Nanny Goat (Lafayette Park) between Lexington and Oak Street. Police are responding with back up. A second incident reported by AMR at at Iranistan and Worth Street a large group of kids on bicycles weaving in and out of traffic. EMS was responding for a 4 year old who was bitten by a dog at Park and Benham. The dog broke off its leash and the owner was having trouble containing the dog. Bridgeport Police report on the story we reported last night when it happened> #Bridgeport, CT – Detectives are investigating whether a city man shot overnight was wounded with his own gun while attempting to rob a 45-year-old man. “This remains a very active investigation. Detectives have a clear understanding of what happened and will make at least one arrest and recovered a handgun that will never be used in another crime,” Police Chief Joseph L. Bridgeport News: City Worker Injured
3:04pm--#Bridgeport CT--A city worker was injured and taken to the hospital after his city truck hit the railroad overpass at Railroad and Bostwick Avenue this afternoon. Bridgeport’s Public Facilities Director Jorge Garcia was quickly on scene and told me his worker was pretty banged up in the incident. EMS attended to him and transported him to the hospital. The truck was in the area with pothole repair and it would have the dumping bed up at times. Jorge and the police department are investigating why the dumping bed was in the up position when it approached and hit the overpass.
