Bridgeport Police Arrest 3 Suspects in August Home Invasion

#Bridgeport, CT – Sept 17, 2014– Three New Haven men face charges in connection with an August home invasion that injured a Bridgeport man. Detectives Martin Heanue and Art Calvao, of the Bridgeport Robbery unit, secured arrest warrants charging the three men in the robbery of an East Main Street man. The victim stated that on Aug. 2 he answered his door just prior to 3 a.m. after a knock. He said the person outside identified himself by a name that the victim recognized. When he opened the door, four men then entered the house, two of them armed with guns. According to the victim, the men assaulted him and demanded his money, taking cash from his wallet. Bridgeport Detectives Seek Identity of Robbery Suspect

#Bridgeport, CT – Sept. 16, 2014– A business owner was shot in the foot during a robbery of his store Monday night on Boston Avenue. Officer Albert Palatiello responded to Hair Plus at 161 Boston Ave. at 6:26 p.m. on a report of a robbery and a gunshot victim. Sgt. Vincent Verrillo and Detectives John Tenn also responded. Police learned that a male entered the store, pulled out a gun and demanded money. He took an undetermined amount of cash and a customer’s handbag. During the course of the robbery, the store owner, Se Jong Chung, 55, was shot in the foot. Tenn secured still photos from the store’s security system. Bridgeport Detectives Arrest Man With Fake $100 Bills

%Bridgeport, CT – Sept. 16, 2014 – A Brooklyn man was arrested Monday after he attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at a store on Maplewood Avenue.Detectives subsequently located eight other fake $100 bills in his vehicle. Detectives David Garcia and Jorge Cintron were at a business on Maplewood Avenue following up on an unrelated investigation when they were alerted that a man was attempting to purchase diapers with a phony $100 bill. They spoke with the man, identified as Charles Rowe, 26, of Brooklyn, N.Y. Rowe told detectives that he was visiting his ailing grandmother in Bridgeport but could not provide additional, definitive information about her or her location.
