5:41pm--#Shelton CT--Firefighters responded to 411 Coram Avenue for smoke in the building. The tenant evacuated the building thinking the water heater let go and the cause of the smoke. The water heater did let go but the smoke was caused by food burning in another apartment.
Video Report 3:00pm--#Fairfield CT-- Around 3pm Sunday the TD Bank on the Post Road was robbed at gunpoint by a young skinny black male. He is a young male, 17 to early twenties. The suspect fled out the back door with an undetermined amount of cash. K-9 Officer Kevin Wellls and K-9 Ruger tracked the suspect but lost his scent on Ruane Street. 2:28am--#Bridgeport CT--Police are investigating a spectacular rollover crash that amazingly had no injuries. Witnesses tell me the dark colored sedan was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed when it hit a parked pickup truck on Fairfield Avenue near Clinton Avenue. The impact rolled over the pickup truck and sent it's transmission into the front lawn. Witnesses told me there was two in the sedan but one had fled the scene, I cannot confirm this at this time. One woman appeared to be taken into custody by police. The roadway was open until about 3:10am when radio broadcast said the road was closed until further notice. 2:01pm--#Bridgeport CT-- UPDATE--Shortly before 2 a.m., Police responded to a report of a man on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound at the intersection of Beach and Jane Streets. First responders located the victim, who was shot in the leg. Police received basic information about a possible suspect and detectives are investigating. The possible suspect was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue shorts. This suspect possibly fled the scene in a small, white-colored vehicle on Beach Street. Just after 2am Sunday morning witnesses tell me two shots rang out and man in his twenties went down in the intersection of Jane and Beach Street. 12:11am--#Shelton CT--Firefighters on scene at 849 Bridgeport Avenue for a head on collision, one car is in the pond on fire. No extrication was needed. Firefighters going to work on it.
