9:50pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police have one person detained for making a false 911 call. The caller said someone was shot in a parking lot off upper Main Street. The phone was traced, the owner loaned the phone to his "friend" and they tracked him outside Merritt Canteen.
6:22pm--#cttraffic--Route 8 northbound between exits 18 and 19 is a multi-car accident with injuries.
3:22am--Oxford CT--Multiple fire departments at a two alarm structure fire at 87 Thorson Road. Heavy fire in a 2 story home. Firefighters acquiring water from a pond source, reporting icing on the roads and asking for sand trucks. Tankers are on scene and filling up. UPDATE---Possible building collapse on the left or chimney side.
3:37pm--#Bridgeport CT--JB Beauty Supply at 66 John Street had an unexpected visitor as an intoxicated man fell into their store front window. Yup, its a slow news week......
3:22pm--#Fairfield CT--Firefighters dispatched to assist animal control for a swan stuck in the ice at 472 Old Mill Road, Berry's Millpond. The swan is about 100 feet from shore.
2:38pm--#Ansonia CT--Firefighters on the way to 445 Beaver Street--Beaver Brook Apartment apartment 54D for an oven fire.
1:16pm--#Bridgeport CT--Robberies seem to be the crime of choice today. Police are looking for two Hispanic males in a white van after an attempted break in the 300 block of Kent Avenue. Police are investigating.
12:50pm--Police have three in custody after a brief foot pursuit on Fairfield Avenue near Ellsworth Street after an attempted break in to the old ABC Building. Entry was made by breaking into a window in the rear of the building.
#Fairfield CT-- A resident in the 500 block of Wilson Street called police that the window to their garage was pushed in over night and there was footprints in the snow. Its not known if entry was made but police are investigating.
2:07am--#Bridgeport CT--An armed robbery occurred outside the CVS at 3710 Main Street. 2 white males and 1 white female robbed the victim of their wallet, cash and cellphone. The males displayed handguns. They fled in an older model red Chevy.
