Fatal Collision motor vehicle versus motorcycle

https://youtu.be/2LfeK3Ek728 On June 2, 2024, at approximately 6:18 pm, the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received several calls for an accident involving a motorcycle versus a motor vehicle. The callers stated the collision occurred at 1853 Stratford Avenue and the two occupants of the motorcycle were unconscious on the ground. Bridgeport Fire Engine Units, American Medical Response (AMR), and Bridgeport Police Officers were dispatched to the location. Bridgeport Police Units arrived on scene and observed two individuals on the ground next to Stratford Avenue and Edwin Street. The two individuals appeared to be seriously injured and unresponsive. ATTORNEY GENERAL TONG SUES NAUGATUCK USED CAR DEALERSHIP OVER DECEPTIVE SALES OF POTENTIALLY UNSAFE VEHICLES

(Hartford, CT) – Attorney General William Tong today announced a lawsuit against A Better Way Wholesale Autos, Inc. of Naugatuck, alleging that the dealership offered for sale used vehicles lacking necessary safety inspections and related documentation. The Office of the Attorney General first opened an investigation into A Better Way Wholesale Autos in 2021 following numerous consumer complaints. Consumers reported that vehicles were not inspected prior to sale or putting down deposits. Consumers also complained of defective engines, transmissions, suspensions and other major components discovered shortly after sale, including undriveable cars. Shelton News: Shelton man sexually assaults Neighbor

On 04/24/2024 the Shelton Police received a complaint from a 29-year-old female that her next-door neighbor had sexually assaulted her. The female stated she went next door to 76-year-old Dennis Barry’s house to see if her package was mistakenly delivered to him. She claimed while there Barry inappropriately kissed her and fondled her breasts. The female also claimed that Barry tried to get her to touch his genital area.Barry was arrested and charged with Sexual Assault 4th Degree. Barry was released on a $2500.00 bond and as part of his conditions of release, he is to have no contact with the female neighbor. Barry was given a Derby Superior court date of 4/29/2024.

On April 23rd, at approximately 7:45pm, Shelton Police and EMS were called to a residence on Walnut Tree Hill Road for a report of a stabbing. Police arrived and located one victim. The victim was a 35-year-old female. The initial investigation revealed that a male and two females were hanging out at the residence. An argument ensued between the male and the victim. The male then physically assaulted and strangled the victim. The male got a knife and stabbed the victim. The male then got into a vehicle and fled the scene. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries from the assault and was evaluated by EMS at the scene. Two juvenile teenagers were also at the residence, but were not harmed.…

Town Reinstates Timed Parking Enforcement to Manage Parking Availability

Westport, CT – The First Selectwoman’s Office and the Police Department have announced that effective May 1, 2024, timed parking limits will be reinstated and enforced in Town parking lots and on Town roadways in Downtown Westport. Timed parking limits in Town owned parking lots and roadways are now 3 hours, increased from the previously enforced 1 and 2-hour limits, as approved by the Board of Selectwomen. Posted limits will be enforced from 8 AM to 6 PM, 7 days a week. Parking on Post Road East will remain timed for 1 or 2 hours. Bridgeport News: Update on Stabbing

On April 20th, 2024, at around 9:15 pm, Bridgeport Police responded to reports of a possible shooting near Middle Street & John Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a stabbing victim being taken to the hospital; no shooting had occurred. During the investigation, officers received suspect descriptions and began searching downtown.
