I-95 Crashes

10:40pm--#cttraffic--Two separate I-95 crashes to report on.  One accident is I-95 southbound exit 23 off-ramp.  A second accident is on I-95 southbound near exit 22 between a tractor-trailer and a car.  The tractor-trailer admitted to state police he was changing from the center to the right lane and did not see the car.  The driver in the car is injured and being transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Norwalk News: Overdose Arrest

On October 8, 2017, at 11:12pm Norwalk Police responded to a drug overdose in an Uber at the intersection of Grist Mill and Route 7. Norwalk Hospital EMS revived the victim and transported the victim to the Norwalk Hospital. The victim was in possession of heroin, which later tested positive for Fentanyl. Norwalk Detectives initiated an investigation into the incident. The investigation, led by Detective Taranto, revealed that the victim had purchased the drugs from Kyle Lors. Based on the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Lors. Detectives arrested Lors without incident at his residence on February 8, 2018. Boys & Girls Village Awarded Grants to Expand Specialized Treatment Services

  #Milford, Conn. – February 13, 2018  – Boys & Girls Village (BGV), a statewide leader in providing behavioral health treatment, permanency planning, and educational services to Connecticut’s most vulnerable youth and their families, has been awarded two program grants totaling more than $1.5 Million. The funding will support BGV’s development of two crucial youth treatment programs operated in partnership with the state’s Court Support Services Division (CSSD).   One grant will fund the Adolescent Sexual Behavior Treatment and Education Program (ASBTEP) for CSSD Region 2, which covers some of Connecticut’s largest cities, including Bridgeport, New Haven, Stamford, Torrington, and Waterbury. Westport News: House Fire

Westport Fire Department UPDATE: On February 16 th 2018 the Westport Fire Department was alerted to a building fire on Remlin Ct. The Westport Fire Department responded with four engines, one truck, and the shift commander. Mutual aid was also dispatched on receipt of the call. The first fire department unit arrived and reported a fully involved structure. The main fire building was a large garage with a single apartment located above it. Incident command was established and the fire department began extinguishment. The building was verified to be unoccupied at the time of the fire and the surrounding structures were evacuated.
