Drive-By Shooting Shuts Down I-95

2022-04-01@11:50am--#Fairfield CT-- #cttraffic-- Fairfield Police confirmed that I-95 is shutdown between 23 and 24 while police look for shell casing during a drive-by shooting on the highway. They were not able to confirm if anyone was hit but viewers have told me there is a large police presence at Bridgeport Hospital with lots of people crying.

The Connecticut State Police Loss Of K9

The Connecticut State Police regrets to announce the passing of K9 Selma, assigned to Detective George Jupin. K9 Selma succumbed to medical issues on March 30, 2022. K9 Selma and Detective Jupin were graduates of the 161st K9 Training Troop. K9 Selma became the first electronic storage device detection K9 in the world on October 4, 2013. Since her graduation, Selma has been an invaluable asset to the CT State Police Computer Crimes Unit assisting in locating electronic evidence in countless investigations. Most importantly, K9 Selma was a loyal and devoted partner to Detective Jupin.

Bridgeport News: Club Violations

#Bridgeport CT-- On March 26, 2022 at approximately 2:30 AM members of the Bridgeport Police Department were assisted by the Bridgeport Fire Department - Fire Marshal’s Office and the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection - Liquor Control Division in serving a search warrant at the “VIP Lounge” located at 1086 Pembroke Street.  This immediate area has been plagued with police calls for service related to noise complaints, felony assaults, narcotics violations, and homicide.  A thorough investigation revealed the VIP Lounge was acting as an after hours club and narcotics were being dealt within the establishment.  An estimated 100 patrons were inside the VIP Lounge when the search warrant was served.  Given the large amount of people, it was very difficult to detain everyone as they began to rush the front door.  Of the people detained, a security guard (40-year-old Michael Gaines of Bridgeport CT) was found to have an active domestic violence arrest warrant.  He was placed under arrest without incident.
