Nicholas Bruner, 31, of Eureka Avenue, was charged with third-degree burglary andsecond-degree criminal mischief after breaking in to the Animal Hospital located on Linden Avenue in town. The burglary occurred on 10-02- 2016 and the arrest was made by warrant. Officers responded to a burglar alarm at The Pet Hospital on Linden Avenue and found a rear window broken and there was blood on the window frame. Responding Officers found a trail of blood on the floor along with the set of keys and cell phone. The cell phone and keys were traced back to Bruner. Bruner was taken into custody for the incident and released on a $10,000 bond. Bruner is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on 02-01-…
UPDATE: Carmen Flores-Carrillo is the woman who was struck by the car on 01-24-2017. The incident is still under investigation and there is nothing further to report at this time. #Stratford Connecticut--On 01-24- 2017 an accident occurred on Longbrook Avenue near Paterson Avenue. The incident involved a vehicle striking a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway. The 64 year old female pedestrian was transported to Bridgeport Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The scene is still under investigation to determine the cause and any possible charges.

Firefighters arriving on scene reporting no fire visible from the street and is going in to investigate. Initial reports indicate a smell of electrical burning in the residence. 8:31pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A fire that started in the garage at 36 Baker Street was wind whipped and quickly spread to the attached house. Heavy smoke lingered the ground despite the heavy winds. Firefighters quick action got the fire under control within minutes. A check of the home found that everyone made it out safely. On November 15 th 2016, an adult male victim responded to an advertisement on the mobile app “Offer up”. "Offer Up" is an internet app/site where individuals post and purchase items for sale and typically will meet in person to conduct their respective transactions. The victim in this case was attempting to purchase a used Iphone 6 from a male who identified himself as “John” from “Offer Up.” The victim was directed to Browns Lane in Fairfield by “John”. When the victim arrived he parked his vehicle waiting for the seller. He was quickly approached by a male who identified himself as “John” along with another male suspect carrying a handgun pointing it at the victim stating he was going…
