Fairfield News: 1 Person With Serious Head Trauma After Crash

UPDATE:  The operator of the electric motor scooter was identified as Robert J. Ogan , age 49 of Brooklawn Avenue in Bridgeport. He is currently in the ICU at Bridgeport Hospital listed in critical condition. The operator of the bicycle was identified as Ricardo Carbon age 46 of Clark Street in Bridgeport. He was released yesterday afternoon from St. Vincent’s Medical Center with minor injuries. This case is still under investigation by the Fairfield Police Crash Reconstruction Unit.   On 08/07/2016 at 09:12am The Fairfield Police Department responded to a medical call at the intersection Commerce Drive and Black Rock Tpke. to investigate the collision of a cyclist and an electric motor scooter. Bridgeport News: Boat Sinks

11:44am--#Bridgeport Connecticut---#BlackRock CT--  These two men had an unexpected swim this morning when their small boat flipped over and sank in the sound at St. Mary's By The Sea.   When firefighters arrived one of the men had already swam back ashore and the second man struggled clinging to a plastic bucket for flotation.  They were able to make it back to shore without the firefighters help.  The boat sank.  Firefighters emphasized the importance of having a personal flotation device (not a plastic bucket) even for short distances from the shore.

Norwalk News: Bank Robbery

#Norwalk Connecticut--Norwalk Department of Police Service Detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today at 10:05 am at the Webster Bank located at 402 Connecticut Avenue. The suspect entered the bank and passed a note. The suspect indicated he had a weapon but did not display one. Once the suspect obtained money, he fled on foot to Stop and Shop where he entered a vehicle and fled the area. The suspect is described as a black male, 50’s, medium build, approximately 5’-6" tall, walked with a cane in his right hand and has a large gap between his top front teeth.
