Boater Warning
#Norwalk Connectictut--On June 6, 2016, the Norwalk Department of Police Service Marine Unit investigated a boating incident in the Norwalk Harbor. An investigation conducted by the Marine Unit revealed that a boat had driven through a clearly marked dive zone near the Walk Bridge. Fortunately, the divers, who were working on the Walk Bridge Project, were not struck by the boat. The operator of the boat was located and subsequently cited for the violation. Divers are expected to be working near the Walk Bridge for the next two weeks, so boaters are reminded to be aware of their surroundings and to use caution near the Connecticut General Statute 15-135(c) states no person shall operate a vessel or cause any person on water skis to pass within…

Westport Crash
#Westport CT--Monday, 6/5/2015--The Westport Fire Department was dispatched along with Fairfield Firefighters to a Motor Vehicle Accident with injuries on I95 between exits 18 and 19. The initial dispatch from Westport was Engine 5, Rescue 3 and the Shift Commander. Engine 5 arrived and found a two car crash involving a SUV and a flatbed tow truck. The SUV sustained heavy damage. Neither driver required extrication. Firefighters from Westport and Fairfield worked to secure the vehicles in place and treated both drivers for injuries until EMS arrived. All three travel lanes were shut down for a period of time. CSP was on scene to investigate and control traffic. The last Fire department unit cleared the highway at 3:17AM
Troopers Seek Help in Identifying Route 8 Bridgeport Fall Victim
#Bridgeport, CT. (June 6, 2016): Troopers from Troop G-Bridgeport are investigating after an unidentified male was located unconscious on the right shoulder of Route 8 southbound near exit 2 in On June 6, 2016 at approximately 5:08 a.m., an unidentified black male victim was located on the shoulder of route 8 southbound near exit 2. The male victim is suspected of falling from the Washington St. overpass in Bridgeport onto Route 8. Upon arrival troopers located the unconscious male victim and rendered first aid. The male victim was transported to Bridgeport Hospital for evaluation of several broken bones, lacerations and an apparent head injury. The male victim did not appear to have been struck by a motor vehicle. The male victim was not in possession of identification…
