Bridgeport News: School On Lockdown

11:38am--#Bridgeport CT-- Two "live rounds" of a .38 caliber gun were found in the gym at Tisdale School located on Hollister Avenue.  According to radio reports the school was put into "lockdown" but that usually means it was put into "lock-in/out, meaning no one can enter or leave the building as you can see in the photo, two parents are waiting to get in.  Multiple patrol cars were dispatched to investigate.

Trumbull News: Arrest Made In Twin Brooks Attack

#Trumbull CT--On December 3, 2018, Trumbull Police arrested Cristofer Fuentes-Salguero, 18, of Rose Street, Bridgeport on Robbery and Assault charges following the attack of a 60-year-old Trumbull man in Twin Brooks Park about one week ago. Fuentes-Salguero was charged with Robbery 2nd degree, Larceny 2nd degree and Assault 2nd of an Elderly Person. He was held on $150,000 bond and is scheduled to appear to court on December 10, 2018. Fuentes-Salguero, who was one of three assailants, turned himself in at the Trumbull Police Department after he learned that there was a warrant for his arrest. State Grant for Mortgage Foreclosure Counseling

HARTFORD – State Representative Brenda Kupchick (R-132) and State Senator Tony Hwang (R-28) today shared their support of a state grant for mortgage foreclosure counseling in the amount of $28,000 given to Operation Hope of Fairfield this year.  The funding, which comes from the state’s Interest on Real Estate Broker’s Trust Account (IOREBTA), will be used to provide local residents with assistance in foreclosure proceedings, financial counseling and housing remediation. Rep. Kupchick and Sen. Hwang cited recent data showing that Connecticut has one of the highest mortgage foreclosure and default rates in the country, with close to 3,150 properties either under default, foreclosure, or auction.
