Bridgeport News: Another Pedestrian Hit By Driver Who Flees

Police UPDATE:    On November 23, 2018 at approximately 5:49 pm, Bridgeport Patrol Officers responded to the scene of an accident on Washington Avenue, just west of its intersection with James Street.  A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver while crossing Washington Avenue.  The operator fled the scene in a black four door vehicle traveling westbound on Washington Avenue.    The pedestrian, identified as Raymond F. Benson D.O.B. 10/24/1975, was transported to Saint Vincent’s Hospital where he’s listed in serious but stable condition. Bridgeport News: Man Dies After Hitting Arena At Harbor Yard

2:16pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A man has lost his life in an accident that damaged the Arena At Harbor Yard when his car struck the building and rolling over a number of times. It appears the man was traveling south on Main Street, jumped the curb, hit arena's outside wall and then rolled a number of times, coming to a stop in front of the box office. The man was pinned underneath the car outside of the vehicle. The car had caught fire, firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and extricated the man but he had died from his injuries at the scene according to first responders. Expect delays in the area as the accident recreation team will be investigating.
