Bridgeport News: Jet Belly Lands At Sikorsky Airport

4:30PMish-- #Stratford CT--#Bridgeport CT-- A jet was forced to belly land after its landing gears would not come down.  The jet circled the area to burn off fuel.  First responders from both Bridgeport and Stratford converged at the airport located at 1000 Great Meadow Road.  The airport is run by the city of Bridgeport on land in Stratford.  The jet made a perfect landing on the runway with sparks and flame trailing behind it but there was no fire once the aircraft came to a stop.

Bridgeport News: Cop Talks Man Out Of Setting Himself On Fire

Bridgeport Police Investigate 2nd Crash Involving Their Own

10:30PMish--#Bridgeport CT-- Police are investigating a crash on North Avenue at Center Street Extension involving one of their own. A number of people were transported to the hospital including the police officer's ride-along passenger and a child in one of the cars. It is unknown if the officer was injured. I counted three vehicles including the police car involved in the crash. Police are investigating. The officer was NOT involved in a pursuit.
