9:39pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police are investigating two shooting incidents. The first happened on East Washington Avenue at Catherine Street. A car drove up and fired at four males who reportedly returned fire. There was no one or anything reported hit. A few minutes later a gunshot victim showed up at Bridgeport Hospital but he said he was shot on Park Street. Police are investigating both incidents. This news report is made possible by:
4:37pm--#Fairfield CT-- Fairfield Emergency Communications received an activated alarm at 226 Kings Highway East and then began receiving calls from the tenants on the second floor. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the roof and additional fire personnel were called to the scene. There was no fire, just smoke and they are investigating the cause. Kings Highway East at Villa Avenue was closed to traffic (the road to get to Super Stop and Shop on Villa Avenue) and traffic was backed up significantly on Kings Highway East to North Avenue in Bridgeport.
On February 28, 2017 State Police Detectives assigned to Western District Major Crime initiated an investigation after receiving a complaint of sexual contact between an eleven year old female victim and a bus driver for Connecticut Transportation Services, LLC. State Police detectives reported that the eleven year old victim reported that while being transported on the bus, the bus driver, Luis Cruz, touched her inappropriately. Through the course of this lengthy investigation detectives from Western District Major Crime applied for, and were granted an Arrest Warrant from the superior court for Luis Cruz. #Fairfield CT-- Police said last night on Hemlock Hills North, between 6:20pm and 8:30pm last night a homeowner returned home to find that her family room back door was wide open and a ladder was against the house next to a second floor window screen that was cut. On scene investigation found that entry was made through a second floor bonus room window screen that was cut to get in. Several rooms were entered, drawers left open, and items were taken from the house. The Detective Bureau collected some items of evidence which which they are processing. #Bridgeport CT-- On June 9th Bridgeport Police responded to Central High School at 1 Lincoln Boulevard on a report of a sexual assault. Police met with principal Eric Graf on a report from a teacher that special education teacher Laura Ramos of Milford. The report said the teacher had multiple conversations with Ramos claiming she asked him to buy/find and roll marijuana for her and that she was having sexual intercourse since April 2017. Ramos also told him that she sends sexual photos to the male student and that she has been to the male student's home multiple times after school.
7:15pm UPDATE: All three suspects are now in custody. 7:04pm--#Trumbull CT-- A person was jumped/mugged of his shoes by three males near door three at Westfield Trumbull Mall at 5065 Main Street. #Bridgeport CT-- How about some likes for Bridgeport Police Officer Michael Salemme III? Officer Salemme was dispatched to chase away a "panhandler" near a business. Sadly, these are frequent calls in ALL towns in our area. This was the first time I was able to "catch them" in the act. Officer Salemme, like many officers in our area purchased him a meal out of his own money sent him on his way. Officer Salemme, "We're lovin' it"!! Way to go!
