Fairfield News: Shoplifter With Child In Car Flees
10:51am--#Bridgeport CT-- A male who shoplifted 3 toolkits from Home Depot fled in a car with a child inside. Police located and briefly pursued the car southbound on I-95 but broke off the pursuit when the noticed the child in the car and the heavy traffic on the highway. The driver got off exit 19 and is near the Gray Goose Restaurant and police have two people in custody. This news report is made possible by:
Bridgeport News: Two Shot- 1 Dead Cities 7th Homicide
UPDATE: --Police say that just before 12:30 Monday morning Len Allen Smith of Fourth Street was fatally shot while sitting in parked car at Union and Stratford Avenue. A second victim, Georgia Comacho who was seated in the back seat was also shot. She underwent surgery and is in critical condition. Smith died of his injuries. Police were looking for a white Jeep Cherokee that pulled up to their red Buick and opened fire. The suspect vehicle was located in Shelton on fire at Indian Wells State Park. 4:22pm--8/10/2018--#Bridgeport CT-- Police were called to Remington Street for shots fired. The three-year-old pit bull was shot in the stomach and head. The dog was transported to the veterinarian where he is recovering. Police are investigating. This news report is made possible by:
Westport Crack And Seal Program
Westport, CT - The Department of Public Works has scheduled the annual Roadway Crack Seal Program to commence on Monday, August 13. The work will occur daily for one week and perform maintenance on approximately 6 miles of various roadways throughout Town. Traffic will not be detoured, but alternating one way traffic flow will be used to route traffic around this continually moving work zone. The roadways will be open for two way traffic as the work crew progresses. Please follow the directions of the traffic control personnel and travel at a reduced speed through the work zone.
