6:28pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Prayers are needed for a mother and child was struck in the crosswalk at Park Avenue and State Street.  The mother who was injured her self cared for and comforted the child until EMS arrived.  It is possible that the sun glare made it difficult for the white SUV while making the turn to see the pedestrians.  The driver was visibly shaken on the scene.

Bridgeport News: Homicide Arrest

On Friday, August 3, 2018, Detective Cintron arrested Brent Whiteman (DOB: 9/30/1978 of 332 Dogwood Drive, Bridgeport) and served him with an arrest warrant charging him with the February 8, 2017 murder of his wife's uncle, Robert Jones. Whiteman's wife, Tynisha Hall, is currently awaiting trial for her role in the murder. Whiteman and Hall were the care-givers for the 61-year-old victim, who was disabled and unable to live on his own. Recent evidence revealed that Whiteman and Hall routinely abused Jones, until he succumbed to the physical abuse last February.
