7:30AMish-- #Fairfield Connecticut--A busy Fairfield mom on North Street with three children went to attend to her one year old when the two and four year old got into a bin that had various item including first aid items and a closed bottle of oxycodone. Some how the children managed to get into the bottle. Fairfield Police Lieutenant Robert Kalamaras said there was no indication that the children had ingested anything but on scene. Officer Gary Cahill had no problem convincing the mother to have the children tested at the hospital. Blood was drawn and the results came up negative. Lieutenant Kalamaras pointed out that the parent was very conscientiousness and that this was an accident. He said this serves…
The Westport Police Department Local Union #2080 and Police Benevolent Association will be hosting their annual Holiday Toy Drive, which provides toys for underprivileged children throughout Fairfield County and beyond. The program has been extremely successful in the past, allowing for thousands of toys to be distributed to children who otherwise would have none. 7:19pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A woman was injured as she came down the I-95 Fairfield Avenue ramp turning left onto Fairfield Avenue towards Fairfield. She some how squeezed her SUV between a lamp post and the utility pole in the picture that is split at the base. Her SUV continued up the embankment when it rolled over. EMS transported her to the hospital She was conscious and alert. You can expect to see this tomorrow night on A&E's Live PD as well.
