Bridgeport News: Arrests Made In Delivery Robberies

5:10pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Tonight a delivery person was robbed by 3 males wearing masks while making a delivery in the 400 block of Brooks Street.  The suspects fled with the pizza and the victim's money through the backyards of Brooks Street.  Police and K-9 were quick on the scene and located the suspects in an attic at 505 Brooks Street.  A firearm was recovered.  A sixteen year old girl was arrested for lying to police telling them there was no one in the house.  The suspects matched the description of the robberies in the same location on October 20th and 22nd.

Westport News: Medical Care Employee Assault

#Westport CT -- On 04/01/2016, officers were dispatched to a medical facility on a report of an assault on an employee by a patient. The victim stated that Murdock punched him six times in the face with a closed fist, resulting in minor injury. An arrest warrant application was submitted and approved for Murdock. On 10/21/2017, Westport PD was contacted by the Naugatuck Police Department who had Murdock in custody. Officers traveled to Naugatuck and took custody of Murdock. At Westport headquarters, officers served the active arrest warrant charging Murdock with 53a-61 Assault 3 rd . He was released after posting $7,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Court on 10/31/17.

Mill River Wetland Committee 50th Anniversary Celebration

The Mill River Wetland Committee, Inc. (MRWC) is having a 50th Anniversary Fundraiser and wine tasting at the downtown Fairfield Museum and History Center, 370 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT 06824 on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. MRWC is a non-profit Fairfield organization with the mission to educate the community about the value of watersheds, to advocate for their continued protection, and to engage all people in the fight to protect our environment. MRWC sponsors the River-Lab Program, a hands-on educational program used in the Fairfield public and parochial schools in grades 3-6 to supplement the science curriculum.  Over 3,000 students and 600 adult volunteers participate in the River-Lab Program annually.
