#Fairfield Connecticut--Homeowner in the 200 block of Morehouse Highway reports a burglary. The homeowner stated sometime between 7:15am and 8:30pm on 3/7/17, someone entered her residence through the side door. Homeowner said when she came home at 2030 hours on 3/7/17 she noticed her dog was locked in the basement which she did not do before she left the house. She assumed that one of her children may have lost their key and had to enter the house. At approximately 9:00am Sunday, she went to a cabinet where she keeps her jewelry and noticed her jewelry was missing. A Tiffany jewelry bag containing several pieces of jewelry, along with a small wooden jewelry box which contained assorted jewelry. Total value…
On February 13, 2017 the complainant of this incident responded to Westport Police Headquarters to file a Larceny complaint. The complainant reported that an employee of his was stealing from the store, Cake Box, 10 Bay Street, Westport CT. The complainant said Greg Neil had been the Manager of The Cake Box and was over charging customers who were paying cash and charging customers for items but not entering them into the register. Neil was caught on video surveillance charging customers the proper amount, but entering a smaller amount in the register. #Westport Connecticut--In January of 2017, Westport Officers were dispatched to 877 Post Road East, Radio Shack, on a larceny complaint. Officers learned that it was an employee theft. The regional loss prevention manager reported that one of his employees, Courtney Tucker, admitted to stealing mobile phones from the store inventory. Tucker admitted that she stole approximately 10 I-Phones from a period of December 2016 through January 2017. Officers determined the total value of the ten phones amounted to $5,957.59. A warrant was submitted to Norwalk Court for the arrest of Courtney Tucker. On 03/07/17, Tucker responded to the Westport Police Department where she was processed for the outstanding warrant. Bridgeport, CT – In anticipation of the pending winter storm due to impact Bridgeport that may begin as early as 2:00 a.m. Tuesday, Mayor Joe Ganim today is declaring a snow emergency for the city to take effect at 4:00 p.m. today, March, 12, 2017. During the snow emergency, residents must move their cars off posted snow emergency streets. Alternate side of the street parking rules are in effect as of 4:00 p.m. today for the EVEN SIDE of the street. The American Red Cross is helping 26 after three separate fires today/yesterday in Ansonia, Danbury and Bridgeport. The Red Cross is helping: Four families – 13 adults – two children after a fire Friday on Liberty Street, Ansonia. One family – 5 adults – 1 child after a fire today on Fleetwood Drive, Danbury. One family – 5 adults after a fire today on Eric Street, Bridgeport. In each instance, the Red Cross provided assistance to meet the families’ immediate needs. Responders included: Missy Lundeen, Ryan Lundeen, Rhonda Rossik, Catherine Rossik, Amy Thomas, John Lennon, Gabriel Gillotti, Mike Vincelli, Ed Murphy, Bianca Perez and Frank Cassella.
